EL TOTO IV

I remember as a child reading ‘The story of Ferdinand’, a 1936 book that tells the story of a Spanish Bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. I hope this sculpture captures something of that spirit.

I have made a number of versions in different sizes and materials - this one I made in acrylic - he’s on a stainless steel and Sapele wood base, signed, numbered and dated.
