fallow deer

I first made this sculpture to show on the Wormsley Estate as part of the Garsington Opera season – because the estate is known for its herd of deer.

I enlisted the help of a taxidermist in Andover who lent me one of his models so I could really understand the anatomy.

The first one I made, I 3d printed the antlers – which worked quite well, but the second one I made I used real antlers which I think was an interesting fusion of technology and nature.
