Drawing has always been a place of exploration for me — a way to work through ideas, to visualise, to really see. It’s both discipline and play: a chance to ask “what happens if…” — what if I draw with my non-dominant hand, with my eyes closed, or with a brush too thick to control?

Since 2023, I’ve been creating a drawing a day and taking part in The Sculptor’s Drawing Space — a weekly online gathering founded by my friend and fellow sculptor, Mark Richards FRSS. Through this practice, I’ve explored everything from photo-realistic detail to expressive abstraction, from fine pencil work to collage and paint.

These drawings are an extension of the layered thinking that runs through my sculpture — each one a study in curiosity, texture, and emotion.
