This wonderful sculpture was a commission from a client in Ireland whose children were around the time of empty nesting – although they have periodically returned!

It is made in acrylic with a polished stainless steel bench. They were great fun to work with, and the scanning technology I use has now got to a level where they didn’t have to hold the pose for too long.

As with other of my figurative sculptures in acrylic, there is a ‘positive’ version and a ‘negative’ which is effectively a solid block that the ‘positive’ has been taken out of. The images here show the ‘negative’ version.
