Contemplation i

In 2012 I found a piece of wood which looked like it had a meaningful form within it, so I chipped and cut away, and revealed what became the basis for ‘Contemplation’.

I used this as the basis of this sculpture – which I have so far created in copper (Contemplation I) and a smaller version in stainless steel on a wooden base (Contemplation VI).

It seems to be a form that many people can relate to..
