This is ‘Great White VI’. He’s cast in Jesmonite - a fabulous natural resin created in Shropshire. He is finished with layers of zinc - thanks to Steve from S&P Paintworks, Telford. He’s just 30cm long, so he’s a perfect fit, and will bring life and movement wherever he is placed.

The Great White is the king of sharks. They are described as ‘the gardeners of the ocean’ because they play such a crucial role in the marine eco system - and yet mankind slaughters sharks by the millions every year.

Great whites are also known to be the most evolved creature on earth - having been around for some 450 million years.

I honour these beautiful creatures through this series of sculptures.
